Web Apps for the “Clinician as a Researcher” – More and more clinicians are now taking an active part in furthering the cause of knowledge in this quickly changing world of medicine Many clinicians are maintaining records diligently and are participating in field trials to ascertain the efficacy of a certain mode of treatment and building evidence for substantiating their practice. Examples of such field research include the method of C- Section – extra-peritoneal or trans-peritoneal, Use of IV Iron Sucrose in IDA patients, use of inducing and augmenting agents in the third stage of labour, etc. All these studies impose a lot of effort on the part of the clinician to design data collection forms, collate the data and come out with meaningful analytics. To address this need and making clinicians life easier to design and launch these projects, we offer web based applications that are quickly deployed for a single clinician or a multi – centric trial. We have built web based applications to ascertain the effect of a certain medication used to treat Iron Deficiency Anemia in collaboration with Dr Hema Divakar, an internationally renowned Obstetrician and Gynecologist. We have carried out a number of studies on Cancer Cervix Knowledge in the patients, effectiveness of Extra-peritoneal C-Sections, the prevalence of GDM in the Urban population and more.
